Biography
Maselli family shop was first opened in 1955 in Florence, by Paolo Maselli. The production mainly involved antique prints and artisanal frames.
As long as years were passing by, Paolo passed down the passion for this work to Gabriele, his son, who has been owning the family business since 1979. Gabriele attended Palazzo Spinelli School of Art, graduating in restoration. He has skills in gold-plating, frame restoration and wood carving.
Today, 60 years from its foundation, our tiny special Bottega d’Arte Maselli provides high-quality handmade creations, with a special attention to all the details and a meticoulous craft production. This is possible thanks to Gabriele, his experience and his passion for the job.
Gabriele Maselli is also Framers’ President and Deputy President of Artistic Craftmanship Section for the Florentine Association of Crafters (Confartigianato).
Moreover, in Florence he founded the Sacred Art School, where he teaches, too. Gabriele loves this kind of task: it allows him to pass down to the new generations the very florentine know-how.
Bottega d’Arte Maselli is certified from e.craft for LUISAVIAROMA.COM which guarantees the authenticity of its unique products which are made entirely on Italian territory according to traditional technical specifications that determine the excellence of Made in Italy.
